## What it does today

1. **Snap a photo.** No app, no forms, no listing screens. Text a picture like you would to a friend, and it works out what the item is.
2. **It researches what it's worth.** Comparable sold listings for that exact item when it can find them, an honest "No estimate yet" when it can't. Nothing is listed or posted — the range is yours to use however you want.

## What is coming next, not built yet

- **It lists for you.** Title, description, photos and price written for you and published to eBay through its official API. Etsy next, for the things Etsy is actually for.
- **Negotiates with buyers.** Questions answered, lowballs under your floor declined on their own.
- **A number that isn't yours.** Buyers text a throwaway number, never your phone, and it retires once the item sells.
- **You're always in control.** Anything that moves money — accepting an offer, dropping a price — waits for your explicit yes.

## Questions people ask first

**Do I need to install anything?**
No. You text from the Messages app you already use. No app, no account to create, no separate interface.

**How accurate is the price range?**
It's an estimate, not an appraisal. When Fairworth finds sold comps, the range is anchored to those; when it can't, you get an honest "No estimate yet" instead of a guess. Treat the range as a starting point.

**What makes for a better estimate?**
Clear, well-lit photos help most — multiple angles even more, since the model can only work from what it can see. Include any visible tag, label, or brand marking, and mention the brand, condition, and age if you know them. A vaguer photo and description pull in a noisier set of comparable sales, which widens the range.

**Is real sold-comp data available right now?**
Not reliably. The lookup depends on a third-party data source, and coverage is currently limited — when it can't find sold comps, you get an honest "No estimate yet" rather than a guess. That's disclosed on every answer, not hidden.

**Does anything get listed, posted, or sold for me?**
No. Fairworth only replies with a price range. Listing it, negotiating, and shipping are still on you.

**Do buyers see my real number?**
Listings will carry a throwaway number, not your phone — replies land in the same conversation, and the number retires after the item sells. Today Fairworth only texts you back a price range, so no buyer sees any number of yours.

**What will I actually keep after fees?**
Fairworth's cut is $0 — it never takes a commission. eBay does: when there's a price range, we also show an estimated take-home next to it, based on eBay's standard non-Store final value fee. It's a flat estimate of eBay's published rate, not a live quote for your specific listing or category, so treat it the same way as the price range — a starting point, not a guarantee.
